Syfy developing spec drama
Paglia Middleton Syfy is developing Eric Rochford spec pilot "Bob From Corporate," with Jamie Paglia and James Middleton on board to exec produce.NBCUniversal cabler has also ordered a third season of scripted skein "Being Human."Paglia is overseeing the fifth and final season of Syfy's "Eureka," which he co-created and exec produced. He and Middleton ("Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles"), who are reuniting after having been together at MGM/UA, will be joined as exec producers on "Bob" by Rich Silverman and director Matt Hastings ("Alphas").Rochford, an AFI alum, wrote the pilot about a clandestine organization, known only as "Corporate," that solves dangerous mysteries caused by science and technology gone awry, topped by an enigmatic leader who operates with a strong moral code and "a very big gun."Paglia is repped by Paradigm, Middleton by ICM and Hastings by APA.Four episodes into the second season, ratings are up 27% in the 18-49 demo and 15% in total viewers compared to the first season. The show is also the cabler's biggest scripted series to date among female viewers.Series, about three roommates who strive to keep their supernatural secrets among themselves, stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington.Showrunners Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke are exec producers along with Michael Prupas, Adam Kane, Rob Pursey and Toby Whithouse.Series is produced by Muse Entertainment and Zodiak USA.
